This Privacy Policy explains how Lizard Touch Technology ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application DocuTimed ("the App"), available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:

• Document data: images and photos you capture or upload, document metadata (titles, categories, expiry dates, custom fields, owner, dependent documents), and OCR-extracted information from document images.
• Reminder data: expiry dates, reminder intervals, notification preferences, and calendar events you choose to create.
• App usage data: such as screens visited, features used, session duration, and app performance.
• Device information: such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate region.
• Purchase information: if you make an in-app purchase, purchase status is processed through Google Play or the App Store via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
• Advertising data: advertising identifiers may be used by Google AdMob to display and measure ads.

2. Document Data & Local Storage

DocuTimed stores all your document data locally on your device. This includes document images, metadata, categories, custom fields, reminders, and user preferences. No document data is uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

You can delete documents and their associated data at any time from within the App. Deleting a document removes all related images, metadata, and reminders from your device.

3. Camera & Photo Library

The App may request access to your device's camera and photo library to capture or upload document images. Images are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to external servers. You can control camera and photo library permissions through your device settings at any time.

4. Calendar & Notifications

The App may request access to your device's calendar to create event reminders for document expiry dates. Calendar events are written only to your local device calendar and are not shared externally.

The App uses local notifications to alert you about upcoming document expiries. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device without involving external servers. The App may use background scheduling (including RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED on Android) to reschedule notifications after a device restart.

5. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionality, including document storage, metadata management, and OCR processing.
• Schedule and deliver calendar reminders and local notifications for document expiries.
• Improve app performance, usability, and features.
• Detect, prevent, and fix technical issues.
• Process in-app purchases and verify premium access.
• Display ads through Google AdMob (free version only).
• Comply with legal obligations.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information according to their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services (Android)
• Google AdMob
• RevenueCat (purchase management)
• Apple StoreKit (iOS)

These services may collect device information, advertising identifiers, purchase status, or other data required to provide their services. Please review their respective privacy policies for more information.

7. In-App Purchases

DocuTimed offers the following in-app purchases:

• Premium (one-time purchase): Removes ads, removes the 10-document limit, enables custom categories, enables unlimited reminders per document, enables dark theme and automatic theme, and enables adding and editing multiple profiles.
• Premium Plus (recurring subscription): Includes all Premium features plus theme families and colour styles, encrypted data exports, data sharing and export/import, custom metadata fields, and search by metadata.

Payments are processed by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS), and managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive information about your purchase status and entitlement to enable premium features.

8. Advertising

The free version of the App displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. You can control ad personalization through your device or Google account settings. Ads are removed when you purchase the Premium or Premium Plus version.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with third-party service providers only when necessary to operate, analyze, improve, or monetize the App. Your document data, metadata, and reminders remain on your device and are not shared with any third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process.

10. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your data at any time through the App.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Since document data is stored locally on your device, security also depends on your device's own protections (passcode, biometrics, encryption). However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
